Hi! My name is Tim Laux. I'm an electrical engineer from New Jersey. I made this website as a place to share my projects and anything else that I might find interesting or useful.

I've been interested in electronics for about as long as I can remember. As a little boy, I used to clock in some serious hours on the family computer. I spent so much time on that thing that, by the time I was in first grade, I was the first person my teacher called on to help solve her computer woes. (Usually had something to do with Clippy, the talking paper clip.) In middle school, I became really interested in computer hardware, and early on in high school, I realized that electronics was my calling.  I am quite lucky that my newfound interest in electronics design almost perfectly coincided with the surge of Youtube engineering personalities such as EEVBlog, MikesElectricStuff, W2AEW, etc. They made electronics rich and exciting, and motivated me to work on my own projects.

I graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. I currently work as a design engineer for a company which manufacturers switch-mode power supplies. While this site focuses mainly on electronics, I also really enjoy making music, playing tennis, drawing, painting, and most recently, photography.
